Nov 13, Tue, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

At 8 am, we all had to check in with the Cambodia officials to have them face check our visas before we could continue into the country.  We first had a city tour of Phnom Penh by Cyclo that included the Royal Palace (where the king was in residence), the Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum.  That’s Sekun at the museum beside a typical Cambodian Hindu-type Linga stone.

After lunch was a bus trip to the Killing Fields and S-21 Genocide Museum.  A quick drink with Bill and his wife, a Sarasota Rotary friend who lives in Cambodia part of the year.  Our pre-dinner entertainment on the boat was a Cambodian Apsara Dance Performance by dancers from a local orphanage.  They helped the travelers with their dancing skills.
